The Umweltbundesamt is the Austrian environment agency. As such, it is the expert authority of the federal government in Austria for environmental protection and environmental control that deals with all environmental issues and applies an interdisciplinary approach to environmental media. In the four programmes data & diagnosis, substances & analysis, economy & impact and nature & usages the Umweltbundesamt develops environmental strategic perspectives in order to provide support to environmental policy in Austria.
Early 2016, the agency and I collaborated to prepare an event targeting European institutions responsible for regulating biofuels. I was involved in all activities during the preparation (organisation of event, stakeholder management, expert speaker coordination, website design, visual branding etc) and conduction (assisting the meeting chair, first point of contact for issues, photo documentation etc) of the event. I also led on post-event tasks such as creating summaries and follow-up communications.
