The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic is a central body of state administration responsible for environmental protection and development including nature and landscape protection; water management, flood protection, protection of water quality and quantity and its rational usage, fisheries with the exception of aquaculture and sea fishing; air, ozone layer and climate protection; environmental aspects of planning; waste management; assessment of environmental impacts; provision of a unified information system on environment and area monitoring; geological research and exploration; and protection and control of trade with endangered species of wild fauna and flora.
Representatives from the ministry and I prepared together a get-together of governmental institutions responsible for regulating biofuels in their respective countries. The meeting was attended by 20+ European Member States. I supported the organisation, conduction and post-workshop activities.
