Main responsibilities of the authority are to advise the Government of Iceland on energy issues and related topics, license and monitor the development and exploitation of energy and mineral resources, regulate the operation of the electrical transmission and distribution system and promote energy research.
The government agency and I organised together a workshop, field trip and stakeholder networking activities in and around Reykjavik. My responsibilities covered all event organisation related tasks (agenda, stakeholder invites, liaising with invited expert speakers, compiling delegates information brochure with practical information for participants etc), branding and design of website/print material/venue, digital comms, coordination of running the event, photo-documenting the event, and facilitating networking opportunities.
